Event: 2000 National MVPA Convention
Date: 11/12/13-Aug-2000
Location: Kansas City, Kansas
Description: I drove to Tulsa to stay with my Uncle and from there,
we headed to the National Convention of
the MVPA. Along with my Uncle (who owns a M38), we attended the entire
event and had 3 or 4 tables of 'stuff' for sale. He made a ton of sales
(=$$$) and I broke even purchasing items that had eluded me for some time
now. In
addition to a significant number of vendors and suppliers, there was an
excellent representation of restored (professionally and motor pool) military
vehicles. An interesting side-note to the trip. After the show, we
drove to Wichita KS to pick up his M715 that was left at McConnell AFB for an
L-19 "Bird-Dog" fly-in. (he has one) I got to drive the
M715 back to the Tulsa area and that's a whole 'nother story! Look for the
National MVPA Convention to be in Dallas in 2002!

Here is a shot of about 70%
of what was in THIS room. There was another room about 3/4 this
size to the rear that also had tables of items for sale by various
vendors. |
