Event: Kars for Kids Public Service
Announcement Filming

Description: Kars 4 Kids is a local car show sponsored each year by
the local Sonic Drive-In. The proceeds from the sales of donated items and
the auction benefit a local charity for disadvantaged children in the
area. As part of the show, a Public Service Announcement (PSA) session is
conducted where a photo-shoot and motion picture shoot is performed of a sample
of vehicles that will attend the event. I chose to participate in the PSA
driving the jeep from the house to a local mall where the shoot was held.

About 10 vehicles showed up for
the PSA shoot. Not being the auto-expert, I do know there were some
old hot rods, Mustangs, a Model T, a pink Caddy and a Ford pickup with a
jaguar running gear and drive train |

They wanted a shot with the
hoods up. Note the shovel mounted under the hood. This was the
standard mounting place on this model only. The M38 (MC) was still
mounted on the side of the vehicle the same it was on the later M151
model. You can also see the Technical Inspection date of
"Dec-66" This was the date under the hood when I purchased
it indicating it was still in the service at that point. |
