Event: Bastrop Mardi Gras Parade

Description: The 1st Annual Bastrop Mardi Gras parade was a small
and fun event. Learning of the event only a week before it occurred, my
dad and I were the only club members to attend. This was a short
parade lasting only about 14 blocks from start to finish weaving it's way
through historic downtown Bastrop Texas. Several politicians were present
as usual along with a few riding lawnmowers, hot rods, horses, tractors,
marching bands and pickups. About par for a 1st Annual parade in a small
town!

One of my favorite pictures of
the M38A1 and M416 trailer combination... If you look very
carefully, you can see mardi-gras beads draped over the .30cal. Nice
touch for the parade! |
