What another grand parade!
This year I figured the batteries would surely give up the farm
since they're about 8 years old now and in all honesty, have been
greatly abused. But the old gal fired right up and away I
was headed towards downtown to meetup with the rest of the club at
TxDot.
I arrived and met the rest of the crew there. We had a
grand showing of a huge assortment of vehicles - 12 to be
exact. They ranged from quarter-tons to the "duece".
Rory decided to bring the 'Mog instead of his massive 5-ton.
We made our way onto the Congress Ave. bridge in downtown Austin
and waited for the start to arrive.
This years Grand Marshal was supposed to be Tex Hill, however
he recently passed away. Jeff still led the parade off with
his jeep and a "memory of" sign affixed to his beautiful
MB. Danny also carried some distinguished members.
Dad showed up as usual for this annual event, and it's always
fun to have him around for these parades!
