Event: Muster Day Activities
Date: 06-Nov-1999
Location: Camp Mabry, Austin Texas
Description: This is my second year for Muster Day in Austin. Each
year the camp puts on a show of all war periods from the Civil War through
Desert Storm. Re-enacters from each war or conflict dress in period
correct uniforms as well as bring a tremendous amount of authentic equipment and
materials. The show is typically on opening day of deer season so the
crowds can be thin at times. For this show, I chose to bring the jeep and
trailer along with a bunch of old fuel cans and a field table. One of the
camp static display helicopters is in the background.

Set-up by period conflict or
war, here's my display for this years show... The fuel can on the
table is to solicit donations for our local chapter of the MVPA.
On average, we receive $5-10 dollars over a weekend show whereby the
proceeds go into our club treasury. |
